Sing, Play, Grow!

Preschool Age Class, 3 to 5 years with parent or caregiver (younger siblings allowed). This class builds a strong musical foundation and is a perfect bridge between toddler classes and instrumental lessons.  Each week we highlight musical concepts such as dynamics, tempo, range, and meter, and introduce advanced rhythm patterns, solfege, call and response singing, rhythmic part playing, and elementary dance steps.  Of course, children love the class because of the all the funny 'big kid' songs, dancing, hand-on instrument time, puppets and storytelling!

MONDAYS in BROOKLINE

Dates: 10 Mondays. January 14th to March 25th. No class on February 18th.

Times:   

• 9:15am Mixed age --- up to 4yrs


• 10:15am  Mixed age --- up to 4yrs


• 11:15am Mixed age --- up to 4yrs


• 1pm Preschool age --- 3 to 5yrs (younger siblings ok) 

Location: Temple Sinai, 50 Sewall Avenue, Brookline (map)

Note - All classes are 45 minutes. All classes are for children accompanied by participating parent or caregiver.

WEDNESDAYS in BROOKLINE

Dates: 10 Wednesdays. January 16th to March 27th.  No class on February 20th.

Times:    

• 1:15pm 3 to 5 years (younger siblings ok) 

Location: Temple Ohabei Shalom, 1187 Beacon Street, Brookline

NOTE: Enter from Marshal Street Entrance. Ring the bell to get in, take the elevator up to 3rd floor.  We are directly to the right of the elevator.

Sing, Play, Grow! offers an excellent program of early childhood music and movement classes in the town of Brookline, Massachusetts.  In these unique classes children and their parents or caregivers sing along with real live guitar, ukulele, harmonica and African drum; play all kinds of percussion instruments; explore creative movement and dance; and engage with multi-sensory props. The goal is to grow each child’s musical potential in a fun, creative, and nurturing environment.

With over 12 years of experience as a teacher and performer, Philip Alexander makes music and movement come alive for children. Based on current research which shows that active music making benefits children’s development in the areas of language acquisition, gross motor coordination, and socialization, Sing, Play, Grow! is a joyous way for children and the adults who love them to bond with laughter, love, and music!
