ReplyI remember that day too Nate... I remember the sky so blue and leaving my practice to go to Foster School where a 1st graders' dad was on flight 911 and an aunt and gramma of another young girl were on one of the other flights. That day impacted my practice from then on- where childhood anxiety became a major problem. I remember that you told me that you were surprised how few kids in middle school understood what it meant bec most had never seen the twin towers or been to NYC.
It wasn't real to them.

This is a very important discussion. Stigma is a big problem and so is the lack of community based group homes and services. There were some very good programs back in the 80's that were connected to community mental health centers.
