As a <b>mother and small business owner</b>, I understand the <b>challenges working families face</b>.  As a <b>physician and policy leader</b>, I have   <b>proven experience</b> helping my patients’ individual needs and  <b>fixing big challenges </b>on the policy level  <b>for the Commonwealth.</b>

The challenges facing America are too big to ignore: millions of us out of work,  an education system that leaves too many of our children behind, and a <b>budget deficit that threatens our long-term prosperity and </b>our <b>national security</b>.

As Massachusetts <b>Commissioner of Mental Health</b>, a member of the Brookline School Committee and Brookline Town Meeting, <b>I have worked with Democrats, Republicans and Independents to solve problems, improve people’s lives and save taxpayers money</b>.  I will bring those skills to Washington should I be fortunate to <b>earn your support and your vote</b>.
