None taken, Amber.
I can shed some light on the media focus regarding those high schools though. During the two years I've been here, I've found that I just cannot generally get people to pay attention to Nashoba Tech.
During my first fall here, I went out to basically the border of New York State to cover a football game that Nashoba Tech was playing and believe it or not, if I recall correctly, the total readership on that article was about 50 times less than the article on the Westford Academy game a week earlier.
If I get a chance, I'll go back and check, I still vividly remember that was one of the least read articles we ever had.
On Notre Dame Academy, that's in Tyngsboro, and we generally try to cover only Westford or Westford-related things, barring the occasional regional pieces.
We might have something about a Westford kid in there, but without that, it wouldn't really fit here.

Hi Wes,
That can be said for all polls, they're basically just representations of a cross section of society at a certain point in time.
As for the police detail, it was said at the meeting, and earlier meetings, that it would have to be paid by Sustainable Westford.

ReplyNone taken Brian, it says right at the bottom that they're not scientific.
Once upon a time I could figure out the number for getting the necessary sample size for a +/- 5% margin of error with a 95 or 98% confidence interval, but it's been a long time and it wouldn't be cost effective timewise for me to do it, to be honest with you, even if we narrowed down the population from near infinity like most U.S. Presidential polls to only Westford residents.

Hi again Donna,
No tenants were mentioned during the Planning Board meeting. We did link to a story on a plaza they developed down in Connecticut that mentioned stores there.
Here's the link to the story -- http://chelmsford.patch.com/articles/planning-board-gets-first-take-at-new-look-for-old-stop-shop-site

Hi Donna,
You might be referring to the stores in the plaza down in Connecticut built by the developer, there was a link to a story on that plaza in the story last week.

Hi Jim,
Just to clarify what was said above, and what I heard at last night's meeting -- the town wouldn't pay for the detail, the Market would. As stated in earlier articles, it's unclear if they could afford it.
Also, the cost would depend on the officer, and whether or not they'd be on overtime.

You'll have to ask your fellow readers, when I remove comments, I say something.
If three people flag them inappropriate, they get removed from the site, so I assume that's what happened.
