Selectmen's Meeting Update
Tuesday Night's Board of Selectmen meeting was more than just phone books and commendations.
Some of the big stories from the Selectmen's meeting on Tuesday night were the suggestion by fourth and fifth graders of a phone book opt-in program, and commendations for Brookline Police officers. There was a full meeting scheduled with other items for discussion. Students from the Park School's fourth and fifth grade classes presented their ideas for a phonebook opt-in program. Five students wrote letters, and read them to the Selectmen petitioning them to reduce waste by passing a bill which would provide phonebooks only to those who use them. The Selectmen unanimously voted to put the matter before the Selectmen's Climate Action Committee, who will help the kids put together a Town Meeting Warrant Article. The Brookline Police also …

@MoonBeamWatcher. FYI...many people that come to the Farmer's Market (please note that I have NO association with it), come on foot. We live in CC and have no CAR...that being said the street where we do live is OFTEN filled with merchant parking tags (on a daily basis)...making it impossible to park in front of my own dwelling (if I had a car) or for others to do so.
