Big Lebowski Bowling Party: Share your Photos

If you, like the Dude, will abide at the Coolidge Corner Theatre tonight, then bring your camera and share some of the shenanigans with Patch.

For the last five years, the Big Lebowski screening at the Coolidge Corner Theatre has sold out--this year is no exception.  So, bring your camera with you, catch the pageantry of the costume contest, and the thrills of the bowling tournament. Just put it away before the movie starts--we don't want anyone to get in trouble. Then, head back over here and upload them to our gallery here. We have posted a few photos from last year's event to get you started.

Viewfinder: The Dude Abides at Coolidge Corner Theatre

A screening of the movie The Big Lebowski sells out at the Coolidge Corner Theater for the 5th year in a row

"It's a phenomenon," says Coolidge Corner Theater Program Manager Jesse Hassinger. "It's hard to say what specifically is such a draw." According to Hassinger, the Coolidge Corner Theater's summer screening of the cult favorite The Big Lebowski has sold out now for the past five years. Hassinger thinks part of the film's appeal has to do with the fact that it's well written and has a great cast. "People love quoting along," says Hassinger, who estimates he's seen the film 15-20 times himself.
