POLL: Do You Support the Brookline Styrofoam Ban?
Is the ban a common sense solution to an environmental problem or another example of government overreach?
Brookline Town Meeting voted to ban styrofoam cups from restaurants in town. Advocates noted that Styrofoam won't break down in landfills and is made of potentially noxious chemicals. Not everyone was in favor of the move. Dunkin Donuts came to speak against the ban Tuesday night. Spokesperson Christine Riley said the company has looked and not found a better alternative to Styrofoam to keep coffee warm. What do you think?
