Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Brookline

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory Friday night for eastern Massachusetts, including Brookline, which will go into effect Saturday at 4 a.m. and last until 10 p.m. An ocean storm is expected to develop south of New England on Saturday and intensify as it passes well southeast of Nantucket. Residents can expect anywhere from 2 to 5 inches of snow. The heaviest snow will fall late Saturday morning into the afternoon. The snow should taper off to flurries later in the day.
