Tessa Lehane has been missing since Christmas Eve.
The search for Tessa Lehane has gone on for a month and a day now. Even with the recent sightings map, it would seem that Dennis Lehane and the team at Finding Tessa have concluded one of two things: “Now that Tessa's been gone a month, we've concluded she's either a.) Still miraculously roaming thru the wilds of Brighton, Brookline, and Allston and has yet to stick her head up long enough to be rescued; or b.) In the custody of someone who, we hope, is taking great care of her.” But there is a more pressing issue with Tessa, which Lehane said needs to be addressed. Dennis Lehane's dog has been missing since Christmas Eve.
This was an active weekend in the search for Tessa Lehane. According to the Finding Tessa Page, a caller reported seeing her The caller saw her around the beach area, near Lake Ave and Rogers St., about 2.5 miles from the B.C. Grad campus where she was possibly sighted the day before. The caller reportedly heard barking, saw a beagle and asked their neighbor if this was their dog. There have been a few potential sightings in this area. On January 19 at 6:15pm a potential spotting was posted on Brookline Patch by Lisa LaFrance, stating, “Just saw a beagle by the dumpster on the left of the Arts Building at the high school. Tessa Lehane has been missing since Christmas Eve.
There is a potential Tessa sighting in progress, according to the Finding Tessa Facebook Page. “Just got a call about a possible sighting ... lone beagle walking on Murdock St (connects N. Beacon and Cambridge St) in Allston. Anyone around there who can see if they spot her?,” from the Finding Tessa Page, posted at about 11:40 a.m. on Thursday. Tessa, the 4-year-old tri-color Beagle escaped from her home near Coolidge Corner on Christmas Eve at about 3:45 p.m.. Dennis Lehane, who wrote "Gone Baby Gone" and "Mystic River" would be willing to name a character in his next book after whoever finds Tessa. There was a potential Tessa sighting in the Chestnut Hill area.
On Sunday, there was a potential Tessa sighting in the Chestnut Hill area. The area is specific includes Heath Street, Hammond Street and Hammond Parkway, Fernwood, Soule Recreation area, Pine Manor College. These sightings are “as confirmed as humanly possible,” Lehane’s assistant, Theresa Milewski said. “It is probably her, but we have no pictures or any way of identifying her.” “As we get into the over two-week point, it has kind of felt like we are spinning our wheels,” Milewski said. “But the volunteers are keeping us going. They keep telling us not to loose hope.
