Visit Brookline's Sister City in Nicaragua

Quezalguaque, a small town in Nicaragua, is nearly half a world away, but its ties to Brookline run deep. For over 25 years now, the town of Brookline and the small South American town have been joined by the Sister City Project, with volunteers traveling between the two towns to help build medical facilities, homes, and an art school.  "Lots of people here in town have been aware of us for a long time, and there's a group of people who have been to Nicaragua to work on projects: building houses, building schools, building the library." Said Carol Caro, a Board Member for the Sister City project.
