OMGPD: Recycle-a-Pet, a Creepy Lurker & More

Our weekly compilation of some of the more unusual police reports from around the Boston area. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The Keys Were in it, so I Thought it was OK to Swipe Newton police responded to the Newtonville Sunoco on Wednesday for reports of a stolen car. According to reports, the shop owner noticed the car was missing when he saw his tow truck driver backing another car into the spot where the missing car was originally parked. The car, a 2001 Audi sedan, was left unlocked with the keys left in the vehicle. Fugitive from justice – Troy Crichlow, 31, of Milton. 11 a.m. Brookline police pulled a driver of an Acura TSX over on Harvard Street after a random query determined that the owner had a warrant active for his arrest. The warrant was for unlawful entry, or breaking-and-entering, in Virginia. Operating under the influence – Jenna Debye, 26, of Burlington. A police officer saw a blue VW Jetta which had crash into the sidewalk at Harvard and Fuller Streets just before midnight on Monday. The driver was not harmed, but she appeared to be slurring her words and looked unsteady on her feet. The vehicle also had a revoked registration status, according to police.
