Viewfinder: Musical Mommy and Me

A Jewish-themed sing-along group for mothers and young children

"It's never too early to start Jewish education," says Shifra Schwartz who runs a weekly sing-along group called 'Musical Mommy and Me with a Jewish Twist' at the Chabad Chai Center near Coolidge Corner. The class usually has between six to eight mothers attending each week with children ranging in age from zero to three. "It's nice for Jewish moms to meet other Jewish moms," says Schwartz.

Parking meters on Lower Beacon Street, even if they are covered for the Red Sox Parking upgrade, can still be paid at the nearby Pay Station. If you don't pay and park there, you are liable to receive a parking ticket.  The Pierce school invites a local chef in for a food make-over during Chef's Move to Schools. Chef and restauranteur Ken Oringer stops by to work with the school cafeteria staff to make healthier options available.  Babies (aged 0-3) can bring their moms to the JBabies Musical Mommy and Me with a Jewish Twist at Chabad Chai center.
