A Newton man was arrested this morning for allegedly masturbating at a Green Line T stop earlier this month. John Wintersteiner, 30, was arrested at his home today and charged with open and gross lewdness, according to the MBTA Transit Police blog. On Dec. 3 around 7:10 p.m., a 25-year-old female spotted a man -- later identified as Wintersteiner -- masturbating inside the hut on the outbound platform of the Beaconsfield D Line stop in Brookline, Transit Police said. Transit Police posted security camera photos of the suspect on their blog, asking the public to send any information about the man to Transit Police.
