Shuttle Buses Replacing Some D Line Service through Newton

A wire problem is causing significant delays.

UPDATE 11:51 a.m. D Line service has resumed at all stops, according to an alert from the MBTA sent at 11:43 a.m. Passengers should expect some residual delays on the line.  -- Posted earlier: Passengers had another rough commute on the D Line this morning as a wire problem caused significant delays on the Newton part of the track.  Shuttle buses were put in place early this morning to substitute train service between Riverside and Newton Highlands, according to an alert from the MBTA sent around 6:30 a.m. This includes the Riverside, Woodland, Waban and Eliot Stops.  According to an alert sent at 5:10 a.m., the delays were due to a wire problem at the Waban Station.  As of 10:45 a.m., those shuttle buses were still in place.
