There is a missing dog in Brookline. Sandy was hit by a car near Route 9 (Boylston Street). She was heading towards Brookline High School. Sandy is a female Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur mix with white/tan/grey fur. She is one years old and weighs 60 lbs. She is wearing a pink collar and is dragging a leash. She was hit by a car on April 3. She took off, heading towards Brookline High School. She is normally shy and may be injured. Do not chase her if you spot her. Call 617-529-8232 if you have any information.
Dennis Lehane and family have a Facebook page for finding their beloved lost Beagle.
A friend of the Lehane family has created a Facebook page, Finding Tessa, in hopes of finding their lost Beagle. Tessa, the 4-year-old tri-color Beagle escaped from her home near Coolidge Corner on Christmas Eve at about 3:45 p.m.. According to author Dennis Lehane’s Facebook page, his family is: Lehane, who wrote "Gone Baby Gone" and "Mystic River" would be willing to name a character in his next book after whoever finds Tessa. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lehane or call the Brookline Police Animal Control Officer at 617-730-2222. Lehane wrote, “in order to streamline sightings, tips and advice, please Like and Share the Finding Tessa Facebook page which we will be monitoring closely.”
