Congressman Joe Kennedy III Introduces First Bill

Kennedy introduced the Peace Corps Commemoration Act on Thursday, Feb. 28.

As part of Peace Corps Week 2013, Fourth District Congressman Joe Kennedy III (D-Brookline) yesterday introduced his first bill since being sworn in to Congress.  Kennedy introduced the Peace Corps Commemoration Act, which allows the non-profit Peace Corps to establish a "commemorative work" on federal land in Washington, D.C., according to a press release issued yesterday by Kennedy's office. The Peace Corps was founded by Kennedy's great uncle, President John F. U.S. Rep. Joe Kennedy III Opens Congressional Art Competition for Fourth District Students

The deadline to submit artwork to Kennedy's Newton office is April 19, 2013.

Think your artwork is good enough to hang in the U.S. Capitol? Congressman Joe Kennedy III announced last week his office is participating in the annual Congressional Art Competition, a high school visual arts contest.  Now through April 19, 2013, high school students in the Fourth Congressional District can submit paintings, drawings, collages, computer-generated art, prints, mixed media and photography pieces to Kennedy's office on Crafts Street in Newton. An independent arts panel that includes several artists and art professionals from across the Fourth District will select a finalist for each media category. Joe Kennedy III Appointed to Middle East, Terrorism Subcommittees

The subcommittees are part of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Two weeks after he was officially sworn into office, Fourth District Congressman Joe Kennedy III has his first House committee and subcommittee assignments. Congressman Joe Kennedy III Announces District Office Open Houses

Kennedy's district offices are located in Newton and Attleboro.

Fourth District Congressman Joe Kennedy III announced today he will be hosting open houses this weekend at his district offices in Newton and Attleboro. During the open houses, the public will have a chance to meet Kennedy and his district staff, according to a press release issued by Kennedy's office. The open houses will be held this Saturday, Jan. 12. Congressman-Elect Joe Kennedy III Weds in California

Kennedy married his Harvard Law School classmate Lauren Birchfield.

Just a month after he clinched the Fourth Congressional District seat, Joseph Kennedy III celebrated another important milestone on Saturday: his wedding. Kennedy, 32, wed fellow Harvard Law School classmate Lauren Anne Birchfield at the Community Church in Corona del Mar, Calif., My Fox Boston reported earlier today. The ceremony was officiated by Birchfield's father, the Rev. Fourth Congressional Candidates Square Off at Stonehill College Forums

Joseph Kennedy III, Herb Robinson, Rachel Brown, Sean Bielat, Elizabeth Childs and David Steinhof were on hand to discuss jobs, the economy, health care and taxes.

Voters heard a variety of different views from both sides of the political isle Tuesday night at Stonehill College in Easton when Democratic and Republican candidates for the 4th Congressional District squared off in seperate debate forums. Editor-in-Chief of The Herald News and Taunton Daily Gazette Lisa Strattanand moderated the event, which was hosted by the Martin Institute at Stonehill. Questions came from a panel made up of WGBH Boston political reporter Adam Reilly, WCVB-TV political reporter Sean Kelly and Herald News editorial page editor Aaron Frechette. Who Does Sean Bielat Work For? Now We Know

The Republican 4th Congressional District Candidate reveals the name of his employer, One Click Politics.

OneClickPolitics.com is a website which promises to "Tell everyone in Washington what you think with one click." It is also the internet startup Sean Bielat revealed he heads up, WBUR reported last night. Bielat says he wanted to keep the name out of the race, to keep the website non-partisan.  The website allows users to quickly send messages to members of the House and Senate by picking a topic and headline. Message headlines on the One Click Politics site included issues like "Pass a budget!", "Stand with Israel" and "Pledge to Repeal ObamaCare and Pass Real Health Care Reform."  The Globe reports that the website will have other left-leaning messages rotate onto the homepage.  See the full story on WBUR or The Boston Globe.
