2012 State Primaries: The Ballot

Breakdown of the November Primary ballot, and more information on how voting works. Polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today for voting on the 2011 Town Election. Mouse over the map for more information on the polling locations indicated by pins. If you're not sure which precinct you are in, check the "Where do I vote, MA" site and input your address. To cast your votes, go to the check-in table at your polling place and tell the poll worker your street, house number and then name (in that order). They will hand you a ballot and provide you with your instructions. If you are not listed but should be, you need to fill in a "Provisional Ballot." Poll workers will have more information. Fourth District Dems Debate Defense Spending, Candidate Qualifications

The Democrats, who will face off in the Sept. 6 state primary, participated in an NECN debate last night.

As the clock ticks down to the Sept. 6 state primary, Fourth Congressional District candidates squared off for a third time this week in a debate held last night at New England Cable News in Newton. Joe Kennedy III, Herb Robinson and Rachel Brown sat down with NECN's Jim Braude, who hosts the news network's "Broadside with Jim Braude". The 30-minute debate included topics around deficit spending, medical marijuana and what qualifications the candidates brought to the table. To view last night's debate, visit the NECN website. Fourth District GOP Candidates Talk Taxes, Health Care and Gun Control

The three republican candidates vying for the Fourth District nomination debated on NECN's Broadside last night.

Although they had less than a half hour to make their voices heard, the Republican candidates for the Fourth Congressional District fit in a full plate of issues and opinions during last night's debate on NECN's Broadside with Jim Braude.  Sean Bielat, Elizabeth Childs and David Steinhof joined Braude for a series of questions on topics including gun control, taxes, health care and their potential Democrat opponent.  Check out the NECN debate online.  Just a couple of weeks after the deadly theatre shooting in Aurora, Colorado, Braude started off the debate by asking the candidates whether they would support legislation for increased gun control.
