Recall Issued on Farm Rich Quesadillas, Mozzarella Bites and Other Frozen Foods

Rich Products Corporation has issued a voluntary recall on some of its products because of a possible E. coli contamination.

Rich Products Corporation has initiated a recall of its Farm Rich Mini Quesadillas, Farm Rich Mini Pizza Slices, Farm Rich Philly Cheese Steaks, Farm Rich Mozzarella Bites, Farm Rich Mini Bacon Cheeseburgers and Market Day Mozzarella Bites because of a possible E. coli contamination, according to CBS News. The Buffalo-based company is working with the USDA, FDA and CDC to determine how products manufactured in their Waycross, GA plant may have become contaminated with E. coli bacteria. The products were manufactured between Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 and have "Best By" dates between Jan. 1, 2013 and Sept. 29, 2014, which can be located on the back of the package on all of the products, according to information on the Farm Rich website. Trader Joe's Recalls Frozen Chicken and Rice Meal

The grocer has voluntarily recalled 240 cartons of a frozen chicken and rice meal due to possible listeria contamination.

Trader Joe's has voluntarily recalled a batch of one of its frozen chicken and rice meals from store shelves in 14 states, including Massachusetts, due to possible listeria contamination. The neighborhood grocer announced over the weekend it was alerted by its supplier that some Trader Joe's Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice meals may be affected. The products in question are: sku 99032 with a production date of "305 12" and come in 12.5-ounce packages.  "In accordance with our stringent health and safety standards, and out of the utmost caution and care for our customers, all code dates of this product have been removed from sale and destroyed. Did you know that Trader Joes is not notified if one of their Many product suppliers finds listeria in their products via USDA testing?
