Missing Brookline Student Found in New York Library

Missing teen Diyana Tekleghiorghis, 13, of Egmont Street, found unharmed in a NYC library. Family is on the way to pick her up now.

Just in from Brookline Police, missing 13-year-old Devotion School student, Diyana Tekleghiorghis, aged 13, of Egmont Street has been located in New York City. She is safe, unharmed, and a family member is now on the way to collect her.  She has been missing since Monday, when she did not attend classes. Police say her cell phone was tracked to Charles Street in Brooklyn. With the help of New York police and the Secret Service, authorities were able to locate her in a library this afternoon.  Police Liutenant Philip Harrington sent the following e-mail to media: The missing juvenile Diyana Tekleghiorghis, age 13, has been located. She has been found safe in New York City. Diyana had left the other morning and took a bus to New York. …

Brookline Police Looking For Missing Devotion School Student

The 13-year-old student may have run away to Brooklyn, where her cell phone was last traced.

Brookline Police are looking out for a 13-year-old Devotion School student who never attended classes yesterday: Diyana Tekleghiorghis, aged 13, of Egmont Street.  Police say she was last seen in a purple jacket and white jeans, wearing military boots. They believe she may have run away to New York City, and police say that her cell phone was tracked to Charles Street in Brooklyn, but that they have not had any contact with her at this time.  My Fox Boston reports that the school sent home a letter about the missing student yesterday.  [Update: Added some more details from Brookline Police. 7:41 p.m.] Brookline Police sent out the following flier: DIYANA TEKLEGHIORGHIS 06-06-1998 Egmont Street Brookline, MA 02445 13-year-old black female …
