DNC Schedule: Elizabeth Warren Speaking at DNC Tonight

Congressman Barney Frank and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino are also scheduled to speak tonight.

Similar to the first night of the Democratic National Convention, Massachusetts will be in full force on the second night. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, Congressman Barney Frank and Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren are all scheduled to speak during tonight’s session. Menino is scheduled to speak in the 5 p.m. hour, Frank will speak in the 8 p.m. hour and Warren will speak in the 10 p.m. hour. Warren will speak shortly before Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and President Bill Clinton. Gov.   Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick came out firing Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, attacking his predecessor Mitt Romney's record in the Bay State. "Mitt Romney talkes a lot about all the things he's fixed," he said. "I can tell you that Massachusetts wasn't one of them. He's a fine fellow and a great salesman, but as governor he was more interested in having the job than doing it." Patrick, Kennedy to Speak at DNC Tonight

Gov. Deval Patrick is scheduled in the 9 p.m. hour.

The Democratic National Convention will have a Massachusetts feel tonight as Gov. Deval Patrick and Congressional candidate Joe Kennedy III are scheduled to speak before the convention. Kennedy is scheduled to speak during the 7 p.m. hour after a Kennedy family tribute video. Two hours later, Patrick is scheduled to finish the 9 p.m. hour. The night will also include a number of prominent speakers, including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reed, Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Director Kathleen Sibelius and conclude with a speech by First Lady Michelle Obama. Massachusetts Democrats Elect Delegates to the Democratic National Convention

The DNC will be in Charlotte, NC, from September 3-7, and local delegates will be there to choose President Obama as the official nominee for the party.

The Massachusetts Democrats elected delegates this past Saturday at statewide caucuses to attend this year’s Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC. Brookline Selectwoman Jesse Mermell was chosen as part of the fourth district delegation, along with representatives from Newton, Needham, Mansfield, Medway and Sharon. In September, convention delegates will cast their votes to officially nominate President Barack Obama for a second term.
