AMC Theatres to Work with Local Law Enforcement

The show will go on for Dark Knight viewers in Chestnut Hill, although masks and costumes should be left at home.

AMC Theatres nationwide will continue screening The Dark Knight rises, although they will turn away anyone with a mask at the door.  AMC Theatres' Facebook page posted a statement saying "We will not allow any guests into our theatres in costumes that make other guests feel uncomfortable and we will not permit face-covering masks or fake weapons inside our buildings." A statement from the theatre also indicated that they are "actively working with local law enforcement" and "reaching out to all of our theatres to review our safety and security procedures." My kids and some of their friends were at the midnight screening at Chestnut Hill last night and were delighted that the theater staff were in costume and that the concessionaires were speaking in a growly Batman voice. Their innocent joy and that of other kids/teens is yet another casualty of this horrific violence.   more ›
