Mattapan Man Arrested Following Alleged Robbery in Chestnut Hill
The man is being held pending a dangerousness hearing, the DA's Office said.
A Mattapan man was arrested Monday after he allegedly robbed one man and attempted to rob another in the area of Hammond Street and Middlesex Road. Dominique Bovell, 17, of 33 Suncrest Road, was charged with armed robbery, assault and battery and unarmed assault with intent to rob, police said. These robberies are among several that have happened in the same Chestnut Hill area including an alleged armed robbery at the Chestnut Hill MBTA station and another that occurred earlier last week. However, police could not comment whether Bovell was tied to previous robberies in Chestnut Hill.
