Car Crashes Through MBTA Construction Site Leaving Two People Injured

A car with two occupants drove through a MBTA construciton site late Saturday night on the Green Line C route, at the site of an ongoing track upgrade.

A car with two occupants drove through an MBTA construciton site late Saturday night. The MBTA have shut down the Green Line C route this weekend and last weekend to upgrade sections of the track. The accident occured at the intersection of St. Paul Street & Beacon Street around 11:15PM last night. The material that usually surrounds the track had been removed so that new track could be put down. This left the track impassable by cars. Two occupants of the car were brought to local hospitals to be evaluated. No MBTA workers were injured, as they were working about 50 feet further down the tracks. An MBTA inspector on the scene said that the new track had not been damaged after the accident.
