Coolidge Corner Arcade site of MJ Ready's third annual pie contest, with the largest field of competitors thus far.
A local bistro is serving up slices of a three-year tradition this afternoon. The Third Annual Coolidge Corner Pie Contest will be at MJ Ready International Bistro on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Coolidge Corner Arcade building. Owner Jim Brown told Patch, in an email, that this year's field of competitors is the largest in the three years of the contest. Last year, the competition came down to four entries between two categories. This year's contest has nine, five restaurants or food service businesses and four individuals: At last year's contest, visitors sampled the various pies and voted for their favorites.
