Fire Weather Watch in Effect Tuesday for Brookline

Watch will be in effect through Tuesday night.

Brookline and the nearby area have enjoyed a mild winter, an unusually warm start to spring, and very dry conditions. All of those conditions combined will mean risk of outdoor fires will be high on Tuesday. The National Weather Service is warning residents a fire weather watch will be issued for the entire day on Tuesday. Wind blowing 10 to 20 mph from the northwest, combined with relative humidity levels of 10 to 15 percent, will allow any fires that develop on Tuesday to spread rapidly. A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur.
