Five things to do on a day following the Nor'easter
1. Last night's Nor'easter should still bring some rain during the day, an 80 percent chance estimation of rain, followed by an 40 percent chance of showers in the evening. Halloween will go on tonight, although it may be a little wet. That and more items of interest in today's Five Things.
1. Temperatures between 64ºF and 44ºF are in the Brookline weather forecast from the National Weather Service. They are also calling for a 40 percent chance of showers during the day, and a 20 percent chance in the evening. Which means, if you're trick-or-treating tonight, pack an umbrella. 2. Five things on another wet, hurricane-filled day in Brookline
1. Showers and winds are part of the National Weather Service's forecast for today--a 100 percent chance of showers. Temperatures should be between 68ºF and 55ºF. Obviously, Hurricane Sandy is still hovering over our heads, and we will bring you updates about it throughout the day. 2. Schools are closed again today because of the Hurricane. 1. On the off chance you haven't already heard: The National Weather Service is predicting a hurricane will heavily affect our weather today--as well as issuing a High Wind Warnin and a Coastal Flood Warning. Heavy rains are a 100 percent chance today, with temperatures between 61ºF and 58ºF. The Governor has also declared a state of emergency for Hurricane Sandy. 2. Brookline Schools are closed today, according lists from WCVB and CBS Boston both. While the Governor has also encouraged private businesses to let their workers stay home, you should probably still call ahead to make confirm they are closed. 3.
