Week in Review: Pinkberry, Guy Fieri and a Bike Parade

Guy Fieri reportedly came to town to film at Cutty's. Preparations were made for the Bike Parade today, and Pinkberry is coming to Chestnut Hill.

Starting Monday, the question of the week was Who Has Brookline's Best Grillables? Two new stores are planning to set up shop in the Mall at Chestnut Hill. We also updated our piece "What Businesses is Brookline Missing?," with the opening date for Otto Pizza. Brookline Police Log ended the day with a construction site heist.  Earlier this week, we asked for Letters to the Editor for Town Meeting--which begins on this coming Tuesday. Brookline's week in review featured some news about single-space meters, a chance to get to know the Library Trustee candidates, and some details about the food trucks.

We learned more about Single-Space Meters retuning to (parts of) Brookline on Monday. The MBTA's commuter rail fares may be going mobile this summer (although experts say the new app leaves the MBTA vulnerable). For the Best Of poll this week, we wanted to know Which is the Finest Florist in Brookline? A break-in and some shoplifting in Brookline Police Log.  Tuesday, we met some folks who are running for Brookline town-wide offices in 2012. We also learned that some Brookline food trucks are now running, and when and where to find them. Week in Review: Jan. 23 - 27

Monday was Chinese New Year 4710, which the Golden Temple rang in sylishly. The Herald reports that Joseph Kennedy III may be moving to Brookline. On Monday, Cake and Ice Cream to Celebrate to celebrate Brookline's 306th birthday. Moms Talk reflected on the morning of an epic Wish, 11/11/11 at 11:11. We had a championship win at Babson College for Brookline Girls Volleyball over the weekend. In Brookline Police Log, there was a man who really didn't want people working outside his house. Brookline Police Monday announced they were looking for a Suspect in a string of morning breaking-and-entering incidents in Coolidge Corner. Moms Talk issued an An Open Letter to New Parents, actually absolving the recipients of guilt. Brookline-JP Pop Warner Football played a key role in this week's Sports Buzz as well.  Tuesday, the Ben and Jerry's truck wasn't the only thing on the move, so too was Frugal Family.
