Brookline High Graduation 2012: Seniors Move On with Music and Speeches

Brookline's 2012 class graduates with musical numbers, speeches from alumni and students, and a rapping headmaster.

The sun shone, music played, and the Brookline High School Class of 2012 closed their chapter at Brookline High School on Sunday, June 10. Brookline High School's graduation ceremony featured a speech by Grace Kelly, a jazz musician and former Brookline High School student, as well as speeches by two students: Jeffrey Strickland and Lia Parker-Belfer. Interim Headmaster John Ritchie presented the class to the Superintendent of Schools Bill Lupini in the form of an old school rap. With a laugh, Lupini added, "that's the second time he's done that to me," before accepting the class and presenting diplomas.  Flip through the gallery above, or check out photos added by your neighbors and classmates from our Add Your Photos gallery this morning.

Brookline High Graduation 2012: Add Your Photos

The 2012 class of seniors at Brookline High School graduated yesterday, and Patch wants to see your photos.

Congratulations to the Brookline High School class of 2012! In yesterday's ceremony, students and parents heard from a former BHS alum, jazz musician Grace Kelly, as well as members of the 2012 class and Brookline High faculty. Also in the audience were dozens, if not hundreds of cameras.  We will post our photos from the ceremony later in the day, but we wanted yo let you scoop us on the best shots. Did you get a great photo of a student with his diploma, but not know how to get it to him? Did you get a stunning video of one of the musical acts, and want to share it with the musician and her fans? How about a really great picture of the ceremony?  Here's how you can share your prom photos with Brookline Patch: Or
