Bomb Threat at 10 Brookline Place
New England Institute of Art evacuated due to a possible bomb threat just after 11 a.m.
[Update: Latest scanner reports say police and fire have cleared the scene. People are being let back into the building. 12:29 p.m.] According to scanner reports, the New England Institute of Art at 10 Brookline Place has been evacuated by the Brookline Fire Department because of a possible bomb threat. Boston departments are also on their way to the scene. [Update: According to the Brookline Police Twitter, the threat came in the form of a note. Boston Police are bringing the bomb squad and a K-9 unit. 11:23 a.m.] Patch will have more information as it becomes available.

That is a good point. We did hear a lot about the school, as there were reports it was in a faculty lounge, but we didn't hear as much about the other people impacted. more ›
