Boston Police Make Arrest in Brookline Star Market Robbery

Boston Police have arrested a suspect in the robbery and carjacking incident on Wednesday at the Beacon Street Star Market.

Three days after a man allegedly robbed a Star Market in Brookline and a CVS in Waltham, Boston Police have him in custody.  Boston Police arrested Steven Lovering, 44 at around 3:15 p.m., according to the Brookline Police, who announced the arrest on its Twitter feed. "Breaking news. Arrest made, Boston PD has arrested the suspect from BRKL Star Mkt robbery & car jacking. Nothing else available now," the tweet read. Following the robbery of the Star Market on Beacon Street in Brookline, police there issued a warrant and wanted flier for Lovering, who they say is homeless, and is often in the area near the New England Center for Homeless Veterans at 17 Court Street or the area of Washington and School Streets in downtown Boston. Boston Police Arrest Suspect in Linked Brookline, Waltham Robberies[Update]

Waltham and Brookline Police have identified a suspect in recent unarmed robberies in both towns.

[Update #3: Brookline Police just tweeted that Lovering has been arrested by Boston Police a few minutes ago.  Breaking news .Arrest made, Boston PD has arrested the suspect from BRKL Star Mkt robbery & car jacking. Beacon Street Shaw's Market Robbed, Lexus Carjacked in Brookline [Update]

Brookline Police have activated the cameras following a robbery at the Shaw's Market at 1717 Beacon Street.

[Update: Police say they have found the vehicle, abandoned, and are now searching the area around the Brookline High School area, as well as interviewing witnesses. Green line operators, Transit Police have been notified, instructed to pay special attention in the Cleveland Circle area. Transit PD are sending a K9 unit. 4:32 p.m.] [Update #2: Brookline Police have released a photo of the suspect and sent an e-mail with information from the scene of the crime.
