The following arrest report is based on Brookline Police Department reports for Sept. 10 through 13. Shoplifting – Joseph Cosby, 47, of Roslindale. Shoplifting report came in from the Stop and Shop on Harvard Street, at about 12:30 p.m. An employee reportedly saw a man putting items in his backpack. Police arrested and charged the man with shoplifting, and report finding about $230 in baby formula, and a search of his person also turned up a class A drug (heroin), and possession of a class B drug, (Suboxone) without a prescription, for which he was additionally charged. …

Possession of a class A drug – Travis Albano, 29, of Brookline. Officers were investigating reports of narcotic activity at 1064 Beacon Street. Police saw a man with a backpack enter the apartment, greeted by the apartment owner who is known to the officers. Through a window, police were able to see two men snorting substances. After a while, the visitor left the apartment and got into his vehicle, which police stopped a short distance away, at around 11:15 p.m. Police …

Disorderly person – 20-year-old Katherine McClusky of Cambridge. An officer patrolling Coolidge Corner around 2 a.m. saw a man helping a woman who appeared to be intoxicated. The man told police he was dating the woman, who they later identified as McClusky, and was trying to find a cab home. He said he would be responsible for getting her home from a concert. ... I thought I was the only person who had seen him. I also assumed I was hallucinating. I think I saw him droving past the Police Department one morning. He seems to be getting away with A) covering his unmentionables, and B) being such a baffling sight that people almost don't believe he exists. That is an untested hypothesis, however.   more ›

Straight Warrant - Douglas, Mass. woman, Caitlyn Ryals, 21. At about 2:45 a.m., police say a woman was driving on Cypress Street where a woman had crossed the marked lanes and was traveling the wrong way. When they pulled her over, they determined that she had an outstanding warrant from Worcester District Court for assault-and-battery. Police were dispatched to 99 Kent Street for an unwanted person call at about 6:30 a.m. Callers told the officers who responded that Johnson had come to collect a shirt, and had begun arguing with them. She left, and officers found her at the Brookline Village T Stop.
