January 1 1:30 a.m.: Officers observed a Chevy SUV traveling Southbound on Washington Street with a defective headlight. The officer pulled over the vehicle and advised the driver why he stopped him. When the officer ran the driver’s license and information, the officer learned that the driver’s license had been suspended. Brookline Control also confirmed that the driver had failed to register as a sex offender. Wilbert Curry, 40, of 130 Auckland Street, Dorchester was arrested and charged with operating after a suspended license and failure to register as a sex offender.
