UPDATE: Three People Robbed at Gunpoint on St. Paul and Freeman Street

Three people were held up at gunpoint on St. Paul Street and Thatcher Street.

Brookline Police put out a statement regarding an armed robbery in Brookline in the early hours of Saturday, January 19.  In a statement, Lt. Phil Harrington said that at around 12:11 a.m. Saturday morning, officers responded to reports of an armed robbery in the area of St. Paul Street and Freeman Street. Three victims reported they were approached from behind by two males. One of the males brandished a black handgun and they demanded their purses and their iPhones, then took off running towards Commonwealth Avenue.  Police are searching for two male suspects described as white, one about 6’2’’ wearing a white hoody and a black jacket carried the handgun, the other stood between 5’1’’ to 6’ with a thick build wearing a black jacket and a …

Police: Suspect Stole $1,167.00 in Armed Robbery

The following information was supplied by the Brookline Police Department. Charges listed to not imply conviction.

  Thursday, December 6 at 11:02 p.m.: Officers responded to an armed robbery at Mall Discount Liquors at 525 Harvard Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the employees, who stated that just before closing time, the suspect entered the store through the front entrance and locked it. The suspect then brandished a black semi-automatic pistol and ordered everyone behind the checkout counter to lie on the floor. The suspect then demanded that one of the employees fill a plastic bag with all the cash in the register. Once the bag was filled, the suspect ordered the employee to lie down. The suspect then took off. Officers watched the security footage while detectives dusted for fingerprints. According to the sales report, the suspect got away…

Week in Review: Presidential Debate, Third Armed Robbery in Two Weeks

Brookline responds to a presidential debate, two local businesses come together. Police look into a third armed robbery new BU and a slew of car breaks.

The week began with a look at Sagewell Imaging in Brookline, Monday morning, as well as launching our Brookline 2012 Election Guide. Thugs Show Gun, Knife in Armed Robbery

During an armed robbery at 3 a.m. Friday, the thieves showed their victim a knife and gun.

Early Friday morning there was an armed robbery on Griggs Road. The two thieves threatened the victim by showing a knife and a gun, according to police. The incident took place at 3 a.m. The victim was walking home and was approached by two men, described by police as wearing dark clothes. The victim had several items taken but was not injured. The thieves fled on foot.

Mattapan Man Arrested Following Alleged Robbery in Chestnut Hill

The man is being held pending a dangerousness hearing, the DA's Office said.

A Mattapan man was arrested Monday after he allegedly robbed one man and attempted to rob another in the area of Hammond Street and Middlesex Road. Dominique Bovell, 17, of 33 Suncrest Road, was charged with armed robbery, assault and battery and unarmed assault with intent to rob, police said. These robberies are among several that have happened in the same Chestnut Hill area including an alleged armed robbery at the Chestnut Hill MBTA station and another that occurred earlier last week. However, police could not comment whether Bovell was tied to previous robberies in Chestnut Hill.  According to police reports, the first victim called Newton Police just before 11 p.m. Monday to report that he was robbed earlier in the evening. Armed Pharmacy Robbery on Beacon Street

Man stole narcotics at knifepoint from a Beacon Street medical supply company last night.

Police responded to an armed robbery at J.E. Pierce Apothecary at 5:45 p.m. last night. The man reportedly brandished a hunting knife and took some narcotics. He took off in a black 2010 Ford.  The suspect is described as a 6-foot tall man with a blond mustache. He wore a ski mask and sunglasses, black jacket, blue jeans and gloves. No one was hurt in the incident, and the Police are investigating the incident.
