Heath School Extended Day Program is a childcare service for the Heath School community. The service caters to childrenMore ages 3 - 13 and the objective of the program is to contribute to the social, emotional and cognitive growth of children in a safe environment. The curriculum is developed by the program’s staff and allows students to explore individual interests, self-confidence and new friendships. There are separate hours for PreK and School Age children, School Age being for all children in Kindergarten though grade seven. Heath Extended Day operates on the Brookline Public School Calendar and is closed for all vacation days.
Pierce School

Located adjacent to Town Hall and the Main Library, the Pierce School serves nearly 640 students in kindergartenMore through eighth grade, primarily from the Brookline Village community. The schools is home to a diverse student body, with nearly a third of students speaking English as a second language.

The school is housed in a sprawling 1970's building designed around the "open classroom" philosophy of education. The building features a three-story library space, an outdoor amphitheater and a sky bridge that takes students safely over School Street to the Pierce Playground. Several classrooms are also housed in the school's historic building,  built just after the turn of the century.

The Brookline Early Education Program also offers pre-kindergarten classes at the Pierce School. Dr. Pipier Smith-Mumford is the school's principal.
