Police believe a Boston woman left Gyu-Kaku with more than just a job offer on Monday. Brookline Police received a call from Gyu-Kaku at 1002 Beacon Street at 12:54 p.m. on May 13 about a larceny that had taken place 15 minutes earlier. The suspect had just come in for a job interview. After reviewing the security footage, the owner saw the suspect take a laptop and an iPhone from a table near the bar and leave the restaurant. These items belonged to an employee. The manager said that he had interviewed the suspect and that she seemed overly nervous. Winds are expected to pick up to at least 30 mph in the afternoon.
The National Weather Service is warning of the potential for brush fires in the area Thursday afternoon and night. Counties across Eastern and Central Massachusetts and Rhode Island are under the fire warning. Winds are expected to pick up to at least 30 mph in the afternoon. The wind coupled with “low relative humidities” will cause the risk of fire, according to the NWS.

A Dorchester Man was arrested Friday night after police said they found a Taser and an open bottle of alcohol in his car. At about 2:20 a.m. on May 10,an unmarked Brookline Police Officer observed two vehicles turn right onto Pleasant Street from Commonwealth Avenue and head right on Freeman Street and park before Craig Place. One of the cars had a rejection sticker. At 3:10 a.m., the officer reportedly saw several people get into the vehicle and head down Babcock Street from Freeman Street. The officer pulled the vehicle over and told the driver that he pulled him over because of the sticker. Investigators are looking into the possible involvement of the accused Boston Marathon bombers in the 2011 triple homicide in Waltham.
Authorities have amassed evidence indicating accused Boston Marathon bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokar Tsarnaev possibly killed three men in a Waltham home in 2011, according to ABC News. Investigators have "mounting evidence" including forensics pointing toward the Tsarnaev brothers," says ABC. Tamerlan was killed in an April 19 shootout with police in Watertown and Dzhorkar was later captured hiding in a boat in Watertown. After the April 15 bombings, federal and state authorities began investigating the brothers' possible link to the murders after learning Tamerlan was a close friend of one of the victims, Brendan Mess. At 8:17 p.m. on May 1, a Trader Joe’s employee told police that they witnessed a woman shoplift from the store, then get on a Green Line Train headed towards Cleveland Circle. Officers stopped the train at Summit Avenue and located the suspect who matched the provided description. The suspect told officers that she had dropped the merchandise outside of the store. The employee said that they and another worker chased the woman through the parking lot, yelling at her to stop. They had witnessed her put items in her black purse and leave the store without paying. The suspect had a bottle of Patron Tequila, four Angus Steaks, two Angus Ribs and three Boneless Ribeye steaks. Suspected Boston Marathon bomber's death caused by gunshot wounds, being run over by car.
The death of accused Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been ruled a homicide, according to a WCVB-TV report. According to the report, Tsarnaev's death was caused by gunshot wounds from police bullets and being run over by a car. Tsarnaev, 26, was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center in Boston at 1:35 a.m. on Friday, April 19. Specifically, Tsarnaev sustained gunshot wounds to his torso and "extreme" blunt trauma to his head and torso, according to WCVB. Police have said Tsarnaev was run over by his brother, Dzhokar, during a shootout with police in Watertown. A woman was charged with trespassing and taking her ex-boyfriends car when he pulled over to answer nature’s call. Brookline Police responded to a report of a person trespassing in the lobby of a building on Kent Street at 9:20 p.m. on April 22. Officers arrived and spoke to the woman, who officers said smelled of alcohol and her speech was slurred. According to police, the woman began screaming while they spoke to the victim. Officers reportedly told the woman to calm down several times. The victim told police that they thought the woman had stolen the car she arrived in.
