This shop is practically synonymous with early music in the Greater Boston area. Von Heune recorders are widely recognized as the best in the world. Other early wind instruments are produced and sold here; sheet music is also available. Beyond that, the Von Heunes are the founders of the Boston Early Music Festival, a biennial event that music lovers eagerly anticipate, as it provides venues for the performance of works in the classical repertoire that tend to be performed too seldom.
