Baker School
(617) 879-4500
The Edith C. Baker School is Brookline's second largest elementary, serving nearly 700 children from the Chestnut Hill and South Brookline communities. A richly diverse school where nearly one-third of students speak English as a second language, the Baker School is home to both the system-wide Korean English Language Learners and Cognitively Impaired Special Education programs. The Brookline Early Education Program runs pre-kindergarten classes at the school.
Two new wings were added when the Baker School was renovated in 2000, creating space for a new library, cafeteria and classrooms. Dr. Mary Brown serves as principal.
