I couldnt disagree more with this review, which does such a DISSERVICE to Augusto. Augusto is so far a cry from your "average" barber. He is a true artist. Not only does he not present the same cookie cutter mold to all, but is the quintessential professional who truly understands much about style, color, and hair. He tailors each cut to the person at hand, employing extensive experience and knowledge regarding their unique hair qualities, facial features, wants, needs, etc.
Augusto is a rarity in the sea of the mundane. I have been to numerous "stylists" who tauted imptessive credentials, yet I left their salons in tears because of the whack jobs they did on my head!!! That has NEVER been my experience after leaving Augusto. Quite to the contrary, every time I have left him, I have floated on air feeling so good because the cut was truly suitable to me and worked with my hair length, texture, and my features. And, most importantly, the cut remained the same for weeks after leaving the salon --which is a testament to his styling ability. He doesn't just manipulate your hair to look good upon your immediate departure, but it has shape and style which is what a GOOD cut should provide. Not only do I always leave Augusto's salon ELATED, but affirmations abound from co-workers, friends and family each time they see me after one of Augusto's cuts and styles.
I consider visiting Augusto a PRIVILEGE and will not allow anyone else to touch my hair but him.
