Sports Update: Brookline Knights Battle in Fall Baseball Season

Team is training for next spring.

The Brookline Knights of the Amateur Athletic Union continued their fall baseball season this past Saturday at Amory Playground, dropping a 12-8 decision to the Canton Hit-Doctor Diamonds in the 13-15 age group division. The Knights battled back after Canton started fast in the early going. Brookline got strong pitching outings from Jack Levine, Dario Zarriabian, and Jonas Webler.

Chhany Minton, Marcus Ross, and Jesse Huggins sparked a two-run rally in the ninth inning.

The Knights are training for next spring's AAU baseball season. Brookline will have three teams, one each for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Brookline is one of 400 AAU clubs in New England.

The Knights are getting valuable experience this fall playing very strong clubs from Boston and surrounding towns. The training will go on all winter and spring ball will start in April 2011.
