Baker School Spring Spree!

The Baker School PTO is hosting its 1st Annual Spring Spree & Fun Run Fundraiser on Sunday, April 29th from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Baker School Field. There is something for everyone - Baker families, alumni, incoming new families, and neighbors are all invited!  It’s a green-themed, family-friendly fundraiser to celebrate Spring and Baker School! Come join us!

The afternoon will feature:
A Fun Run on Beverly Road (from Zanthus to LaGrange) and the Baker Field for kids in grades K-8 (run by grade) supervised by the Baker PE staff. You need not be a Baker student to enter the race - anyone in grades K-8 can enter!   Pre-registration (required) is open from 1:00-1:30 PM and the cost is $15 per runner. The running is scheduled to begin at 2:00.
And festivities on-going:
Make & take recycled-material craft tables for all ages
Entertainment by "The Resourcerer" - a magician who educates about recycling through magic
Live music by BHS musicians Micah Katz (a Baker alum!), Adam Chedd & Sam Friedman; featuring Baker musicians as well
Fun activities for kids - dancing, gardening, games, more!
Local food purveyor b.good will be on hand to sell fresh, healthy items
Meet Brookline Recreation and Bountiful Brookline to learn how your family can enjoy spring in Brookline!
The Spring Spree is a fundraiser for the Baker PTO’s ongoing support for classrooms and enrichment activities for Baker School. The entry fee to enjoy the festivities will be $5 per child (not included with the Fun Run).

This event is generously sponsored by Music Go Round... Reuse, Recycle, Rock! www.MusicGoRoundBoston.com
Phil Chernin, owner of Music Go Round and a Baker School parent, jumped at the opportunity to sponsor the Spree because it showcases the importance of sustainability, which is a hallmark of Music Go Round’s low-carbon footprint business.

Music Go Round’s vision is to:
Keep instruments alive – buying, refurbishing and recycling instruments to families trying new instruments as well as to professional musicians.
Keep money in the community – Music Go Round keeps money within the community by paying families for their instruments then finding the instruments new homes. Keep more money in your pocket – giving you the ability to own top-quality instruments at a fraction of their original cost AND be able to trade in or trade up later.
The Baker PTO and the School Community look forward to seeing old and new friends from the neighborhood at this year's event! Thank you in advance for your support!
