Drool Baby Expo is coming to the South End

The Drool Baby Expo is an extraordinary expo for expectant and new parents, coming to Boston on May 15. Tickets are on sale now.

A full term pregnancy lasts 40 weeks, which isn't very long in the greater scheme of things. And new babies require a whole lot of gear, all of which needs to be researched and purchased at some point during those 40 weeks. It can be an overwhelming process, for sure.

Baby expos are a great way to get a lot of information in a small amount of time, but walking through cavernous convention centers is exhausting for expectant moms. And while hundreds of vendors may provide lots of variety, they don't make anything less overwhelming.

That's why Magic Beans founded the Drool Baby Expo last year. The idea was to create an event that was small-scale but top quality. Expectant and new parents come to socialize, have fun, and interact with a handpicked selection of the best products and services available to Boston families.

The first Drool Baby Expo was a big hit, and this year's expo is looking to be even better.

There are over 75 brands participating in the upcoming edition of Drool, including favorites like Britax, BOB, Orbit Baby, Ergo Baby, Viacord, Bugaboo, Baby Jogger, UPPAbaby, Skip*Hop, Maclaren, and many, many more. Magic Beans will have a pop-up shop at the event that will offer dozens of one-night-only discounts on many of these popular products (most of which are very rarely discounted). The entire Magic Beans crew will be on hand to help guide parents and give advice.

There will also be a section of small businesses selling wonderful handmade items, and an assortment of non-profits that serve local families, including Children's Hospital Boston, Room to Grow, and JF&CS.

Several local favorites are providing tasty treats, including Party Favors, Pinkberry, and Aquitaine. Mocktails will be served, as well.

Drool is happening on May 15, 2012 at The Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts on Tremont Street. Tickets are $35 for a standard ticket, and $20 for a companion. Each standard ticket includes an incredible gift bag valued at over $250 in products and services! Attendees will also have the opportunity to earn free raffle entries to win over $10,000 in prizes.
