Selectmen Need Public's Help with Override Study Committee


The Brookline Selectmen are looking for residents to serve on an Override Study Committee that will analyze potential tax increases geared towards the Town and School needs.

The mission is to evaluate the “long-range population and financial projections, including projections and financial projections, including impacts on the Town’s bonding capacity, the costs of and potential savings in various programs, including both mandated and non-mandated programs, potential efficiencies and future needs in Town and School operations, comparability to other municipalities; potential non-tax revenue sources, and the impact of potential tax increases on taxpayers,” Selectmen Dick Benka said.

Interested parties should have some experience in economic modeling, demographics, education administration, financial management, or construction/ architecture.  There is more information available on the Town’s website.
