A woman driving home from work last night at about 11:30 p.m. was hit by a tree on Route 9 near the reservoir.
No injuries were reported, although the woman driving was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation, but was back at the scene with her family shortly afterward.
The driver told WCVB that she felt "lucky," because the tree hit the car, but she was uninjured. "I could be dead," she added.
The vehicle was towed from the scene, and the tree was cut into logs and removed from the road. According to logs, the tree was privately owned.
