Three BU Students Robbed in Separate Campus Incidents - One at Gunpoint

Boston University Police are urging anyone to call 911 or the BUPD at 617-353-2121 with tips or to report suspicious behavior.

Three separate incidents around the Boston University campus involved students being robbed late Friday night, including one at gunpoint.

Brookline, Boston, and Boston University Police are investigating the three incidents that happened late Friday and two early Saturday, on or near BU's campus. Brookline and Boston University Police have said they are increasing patrols in the area after the robberies.

A female BU student, with two others were allegedly robbed at gunpoint around 12:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul and Thatcher streets in Brookline, according to BU Today. The victim was not injured.

A second incident involved another BU student being robbed of his cell phone in an unarmed incident in an adjacent alley to Shaw’s supermarket in Packard's Corner around 11:30 Friday night. The student sustained minor injuries, according to BU Today.

In a third robbery, a female Boston University student sitting on the stairs outside 275 Babcock St., a dormitory, around 1:25 a.m. Saturday was allegedly approached by a man and woman. The man allegedly pushed the victim to the ground, opened her purse, took her cell phone and some money.
