A Boston woman was arrested earlier this week after a traffic stop on Horace James Circle.

Shanell Brewer, 26, of Mattapan, was arrested on Feb. 17, and charged with speeding as well as a default warrant for speeding and a license suspension.

According to a Brookline Police report, an officer was running radar on Hammond Pond Parkway when a vehicle passed by at “a high rate of speed.” The officer confirmed the speed via radar, which clocked the vehicle going 56 mph.

The officer pulled the vehicle over on Horace James Circle.

The driver, Brewer, according to a check by the Registry of Motor Vehicle, had a default warrant out of Marlborough District Court for speeding in violation of a special regulation and license suspension, issued on Feb. 3.

Brookline Police dispatched also confirmed the warrant.

The officer spoke to Brewer about her driving issues and she was arrested.

According to Marlborough Patch, Brewer was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license and speeding in violation of a special regulation on Nov. 7, 2013, while driving on West Main Street.
