Scanner: Brookline Police Investigating Assault on St. Paul Street

The victim was reportedly robbed by two Hispanic males.

Brookline Police are currently investigating a reported assault that occurred earlier today on St. Paul Street.

The victim was reportedly robbed near the Dexter Park Apartments, at the corner of Freeman Street and St. Paul Street, according to Brookline scanner reports. 

The victim told police he was robbed by two Hispanic males, one in his 20s, 5'7" tall with black hair, a goatee and wearing a grey Nike t-shirt. The other male was reported as 5'5" tall with a mustache and wearing Nike sneakers, jeans and a Celtics t-shirt.

According to scanner reports, the victim said the alleged robbers had both a crowbar and a bat. 

The alleged suspects reportedly stole the victim's cigarettes, wallet and his walkman. He was transported to Beth Israel Hospital for his injuries.

Brookline Police are also investigating a string of armed robberies that have recently occurred on the Brookline/Boston line involving members of the Boston University community. The third of these armed robberies was reported Friday night.
