Sunday's Riverway stabbing came at the tail end of a robbery, according to a statement by the Boston Police.

A 49-year-old man was near Longwood Avenue and the Riverway on Sunday afternoon. According to a Boston Police statement, officers found the victim shortly after fielding calls about the attack at 12:24 p.m.

"On arrival, officers located the 49 year old, male victim, who stated he was sitting on the logs listening to music and feeding the ducks when he was approached by the suspect," wrote police on the BPDnews.com blog.
