CPR By Phone Saves Brookline Child
Brookline Dispatchers talk the parents through CPR on a one-year-old who wasn't breathing.
According to scanner reports, Dispatchers instructed parents at 58 Dwight Street through CPR (cardio-pulmonary ressucitation) after their one-year-old child stopped breathing at about 2:45 p.m. Dispatchers talked the parents through until a fire engine arrived on the scene.
Shortly after, Engine 5 and Fallon EMS arrived on the scene, and reported that the child was breathing again.
