Cleaning Worker Stole Cash from Woman's Home, Police Say

Brookline police charged a cleaning worker with stealing cash from a woman's home on Naples Road last month.

Luis Torres, 29, of 14 Ingalls St., Nashua, N.H., was charged with larceny from a building.

Police said the homeowner approached police and said she hired a cleaning company to come to her house after her bathroom flooded. When they finished, she said she noticed cash was missing from desk drawers in her bedroom.

Torres was arrested July 1.

Police did not disclose how much money he was accused of stealing.
