Caleb Jacoby Found Safe in New York City

Jacoby is the son of a Boston Globe columnist.

Caleb Jacoby, a 16-year-old Brookline student who went missing on Jan. 6, has been found safe, according to Brookline Police. 

Jacoby, the son of Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby, was located in New York City, according tot WBZ-TV.

Over the past several days, Brookline Police worked with other agencies on information indicating Jacoby could have travelled to Times Square, according to Brookline Police.  At around 9 p.m., New York City Police informed Brookline Police they had located Jacoby. 

Jeff Jacoby, writing on his Facebook page, thanked the public for their efforts.

"Words can’t express our gratitude for the extraordinary outpouring of kindness and support that we have received from so many people. All we can think of at the moment is how wonderful it will be to see Caleb again and shower him with love," Jacoby wrote.
